Obituary

Evon Mae Seals Stafford, was born August 16, 1952 in Dorchester, SC to the late Harold and Dorothy Seals.  She entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning September 5, 2019, at Trident Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

She was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County, where she attended Jenkins Hill High School.

At an early age, Evon accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and became a member of Surprise Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Kitchen Committee and as the church Sexton until her health failed.

Evon was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Billy Stafford on August 16, 2016.  Evon was a wonderful Aunt to all her many nieces and nephews.  She was a caregiver to many of them.  No matter what Evon could do for her family, she did it and was always there.

Evon enjoyed cooking for people, especially for large events.  She was employed by Burger King for many years in Atlanta, GA.  She also worked as a Healthcare worker serving as a Hospice Nurse.  She worked for many Hospice patients around her home.

Evon enjoyed watching Westerns, such as Gunsmoke, and she enjoyed watching the cooking channel and her Soap Operas.  She also liked listening to her gospel music and doing a variety of puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her brothers, Allen Summers, Eddie and Earl in their infancy.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  her beloved and devote husband, Billy Stafford; sisters, Annie V. Martino and Carolyn Summers both of St. George, SC, Marilyn Seals and Albertha Jones (Charles) both of North Charleston, SC, Dorothy Williams of Ladson, SC and Alice Hooks (Duran) of Atlanta, GA and Brenda Gordon of Dorchester, SC; brothers, Harold Seals (Sharon) of Atlanta, GA, John Seals (Sharon) of St. George, SC, Eugene Seals and Roosevelt Seals both of Dorchester, SC and James (Loraine) Green; one sister-in-law, Rose Summers of Orlando, FL; brothers-in-law, Terry Stafford (Sandra), Russell Stafford (Vivian), Joseph Stafford and Harry Stafford all of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  A special thanks to Mrs. Martha Williams for being her caregiver.
