Evelyn McBride-Willis was born December 15, 1941, to David and Adline McBride in Reevesville, South Carolina.  She received her formal education within the South Carolina School System.  Evelyn accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age.

In her leisure, she enjoyed attending church, watching her favorite soap operas (The Young and the Restless, and Lifetime), and teaching her home healthcare workers how to cook.

Evelyn McBride-Willis departed this life on March 30, 2026.  She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Adline McBride, ten brothers, and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory: six children, Charles L. Wimes, Willie J. Mangram, Adline (Terrell) Harris, Simone (Edward) Cox of Milwaukee, WI, Bernard Wimes and Danny McBride of New York; along with fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth McBride; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
