Early Life and Education

Eric L. Holman was born on February 23, 1966, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. From an early age, Eric was instilled with a strong spirit, determination, and a genuine love for life. He graduated from Meadowbrook High School and went on to attend Virginia State University for two years before making the decision to serve his country.

Military Service

Eric proudly joined the United States Army at Fort Benning, where he served with the 4th Battalion, Bravo Company, 2nd Platoon as an Army Airborne Ranger. Throughout his military career, he demonstrated courage and dedication, continuing to serve honorably until he suffered an injury.

Life After Service

Despite his injury, Eric continued to live life with passion and resilience. Music became one of his greatest joys, and he found fulfillment in producing music and engineering sound, talents that highlighted his creativity and deep appreciation for the art. Eric was also an avid traveler, immersing himself in different cultures, meeting new people, and creating lasting memories during his many adventures.

Legacy and Remembrance

Eric will be remembered for his strength, his love of music, his adventurous spirit, and the positive impact he had on those who knew and loved him. He peacefully departed this life on April 28, 2026, at the Hampton VA Medical Center in Hampton. Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Britt Holman; his brother, Trevor L. Holman; and his uncles, Fletcher Britt, Jr. and Carl "Cee" Britt.

Family and Loved Ones

Eric leaves behind many cherished family members. On his paternal side, he is survived by his father, Theodore W. Holman; his stepmother, Christine Holman; his brother, Michael Holman; his sister, Tarra Holman; his sister-in-law Ernestine Holman(Trevor) and his beloved uncle, Brian M. Bookman, with whom he shared a close relationship, Kisha Perkins(wife) ; his aunt, Carolyn Theobald; her husband, Lance Theobald; cousins, Shawn E. Benjamin, Tracey Theobald-Scully, Winston Scully, Lance Theobald, and Patrice Theobald. On his maternal side, surviving relatives include aunts Rose and Clara, cousins Troy Britt and his wife, and Carl "Cee Cee" Britt, along with numerous other relatives and friends who were touched by his presence.

Eric's legacy of service, perseverance, creativity, and love will always remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
