Obituary

Our beloved mother Emma Queen Green was called home to be with her Savior on Sunday February 12 th , 2023. Mother Emma was born July 27,1938 to the late David and Queen Hazel Brown Perry.

Mother Emma grew up in the Dorange and Reevesville area and attend the schools of Dorchester County. Mother Green was employed as a caregiver to many adults and children whom she loved very much, everyone she cared for she shared her love for the Father.

Mother Emma accepted the Lord at an early age and lived a life that exemplified for the Lord. she was a faithful member of Bethel No. 1 Holiness church where she served as an Evangelist, Mother of the Church, President of the senior choir and Kitchen committee.

Mother Emma was joined in marriage to Thomas Green. To this union nine children were born, one preceded her in death, Kenneth Green.

Mother Emma was preceded in death by her husband Thomas T. Green, three brothers, Charles Perry, Daniel Perry and Willie Perry and one sister, Vinnie McClain.

Mother Emma leaves to cherish her love and memories: three sons, Thomas (Florinza) Green, Jr., Mitchell (Tonya) Green and Gregory Green all of Reevesville, SC; five daughters, Emma J. Green of Reevesville, SC, Queen E. Green of Brooklyn, NY, Henerietta Moorer, Teresha (Joe) Waring of Reevesville, SC and Lula B. Green of Chambersburg, PA; four children, she loved as her own, the late Deborah Edwards, William (Vivan) Branch of Bamberg, SC, David Branch of Elloree, SC and James Lemon of Mississippi; five brothers, Levi (Mannie) Perry, Thomas (Shelia) Perry, Ernest (Shirley) Perry, Isaiah (Martha) Perry and Ezekiel Perry, two sisters, Effie Scott and Deloris King all of NC; three brothers-in-law, Charlie Williams of NJ, Isaac (Marie) Green of SC and Wallace Mason of GA; three sisters-in-law, Mary Perry of NY, Dorothy Callaway of GA, Thomasina Perry of NY; one aunt she loved, Francis Mason; Mother Emma loved her most cherish loves 46 grandchildren; 52  great great grands and three great great great grands; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
