The late Elizabeth Ann Myers Perry, affectionately known as "Sister," of Harleyville, South Carolina, was born on February 27, 1947, to the late Hampton Myers Sr. and Annie Lou Wilson Myers. She peacefully departed this life at her residence on September 13, 2025. Elizabeth received her education in the public schools of Dorchester County.

She was a devoted member of St. Daniel U.M. Church, where she faithfully served as a member of the Usher Board, the Mass Choir, and as Head of the Kitchen Committee, until her health declined.

She spent 16 years living in York, Pennsylvania, where she worked in various textile factories and as a seamstress. Elizabeth also served as a caregiver to many, remembered for her compassion and the love she shared with her patients.

Elizabeth found joy in simple pleasures—watching Tyler Perry movies and Lifetime TV shows, shopping at thrift stores, and playing bingo with her dear friend, Geneva Owens. Above all, she cherished preparing Sunday dinners for family and friends. Her collard greens, red rice, sweet
potato pies, and fruit cake became her signature dishes, made with love for all who came through her door.

A woman of giving hands and a joyful heart, Elizabeth touched countless lives. She gave generously, smiled freely, and served faithfully, always trusting in God's blessings.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three siblings.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her family: her daughter, Mary Elaine (Rudolph) Duggins of Summerville, SC; three sons, James MacArthur Perry of Goose Creek, SC, Ronnie L. Perry of the home, and Brandon (BJ) Perry of Summerville, SC; one step-son, Dennis (Katherine) Mays of Lawton, Oklahoma; two sisters, Adell Myers Gelzer and Willie Mae Myers Johnson of York, PA; one sister-in-law, Nancy P. (Benjamin) Laribo of Summerville, SC; a very loved ex-daughter-in-law, Mrs. Juanita Perry of St. George, SC; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Her life was a testimony of faith, service, and love—one that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
