Elise Lugo departed this earthly life on Sunday May 4, 2025 at home in New York, New York.  Elise was born on April 15, 1932 in Grover, South Carolina, to Nealie and Issac Anderson. She attended public school in Grover, SC and high school at Williams Memorial High School in St. George, SC. Elise was a member of the former St. Luke United Methodist Church currently New Grace United Methodist Church as a young girl. Elise worked as a Nurses' Aid in New York, NY for over 15 years.

Her loving husband Dr. Joseph Lugo and daughter Lisa Lindsay preceded her in death. She also had nine siblings who preceded her in death Angie Martin, Joe Anderson, Bertha Lee Daniels, J.D. Anderson, Arlene Anderson, Albert Anderson, Berton Anderson, Evernese Primus, Annie Bell Britt.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her brother Irvin (Charlotte) Anderson of Sunset Beach, NC and her niece, Darlene Creighton of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
