Elijah was born February 28, 1958 to the late Sinkem Banks and Janie Davis.

Elijah was affectionately called "Sonny Boy" by his family and friends. He enjoyed laughing and having fun with family and friends.

Elijah leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Janie Johnson of North Charleston, South Carolina; nieces, Zandra Johnson, Octavia Johnson and Beyunka Hopkins; nephews, Ricky Johnson, Jr., Roshell, Eric and Levar; a special cousin, Patricia Ann Kelly; caregiver, Debbie Clark Breaker; special friends, Tandra Hodges, Lamont Glover, Ron Hodges, Jennifer Hodges and Trina Ladson; a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and friends.
