On December 11, 2020, Eleonora Emilia Brown-Brown (age 75) was called home to be with the Lord.  She was born to the blessed union of the (late) Dr. Alberto and the late Mrs. Daisy Forrest Brown in Panama City, Panama.  Eleonora accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age.  She attended grade school and graduated from High School in Panama. She was the second child of twelve children to migrate to the United States (paving the way for her siblings).

She later met and married Luder Brown, Sr. in Brooklyn, NY.  From their union, she gave birth to Luder, II, Paulette, and Pamela.

She graduated from Manhattan Community College and Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.  She was a dietitian, and Registered Nurse (RN).

She moved to South Carolina with her family where she worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for many years in several hospitals.  But, her love for people (especially children) lead to her proud and greater accomplishments (awards and recognitions) as an Educational School Nurse where she was employed until her final days and affectionately known as "Grandma".

Eleonora was always a sweet, loving, caring and grateful person.  She enjoyed traveling, dancing, reading and inspiring others.  She was a Godly woman who loved the Lord.   Eleonora resided in Reevesville, South Carolina where she was a member of Bethel No. 1 Holiness Church. She served on the Usher's Board Ministry as well as she furthered her studies and degree in Bible study, Women's Ministries and Prayer studies.  She always wanted to lend a helping hand when family and friends who had bigger tasks and could use her help on new horizons in life. Throughout her life, she was an active member of the NAACP.

She was a very distinctive woman, very active and generous, honest, brave and proud sister of Chi Eta Phi sorority. From her bonding with her Chi Eta Phi sorority sisters, she saw the true flame of life and colors of Green Yellow.   She loved her labor of sisterly love as she served in pure sisterhood in the community, prime linked organizations and being of service to all mankind.  Eleonora made a positive difference in the lives of others by lifting others and speaking out.  It was just her nature of having a good heart to give, care and share.  It was her vision to say it was a divine blessing from God to share and show a good deed.  She believed in the importance of making a positive difference in life.   Eleonora had a passion for going forward and paving the way as she reached back to help the next person.  If words could describe her, she was a wonderful, amazing, strong prayer warrior, loving mom, a Godly sister, sweet auntie with an anointed spirit.  The family was very important to her.  "It is what it is" was her favorite saying as she made sure her family stayed and prayed together.

She is preceded by death by her father, mother and a brother Leonardo Brown.  Eleonora leaves to cherish her fond memories and life: her children, Luder Brown II (Rochelle) of Orangeburg, SC, Paulette Berry of Reevesville, SC  and Pamela Smith of Orangeburg, SC;  three brothers, Gilberto Phillips (Carmen) of Panama, Panama, Fernando Brown (Yvonne) of Fayetteville, NC,  and Ricardo Brown of Fayetteville, NC;  seven sisters, Marva Simmons of Fayetteville, NC, Isabel Chiassion of Woodbridge, VA, Constancia Brown of Orlando, FL, Marcia Brown of Fayetteville, NC, Gladys Wilson (Reynaldo) of Fayetteville, NC, Magaly Brown, of Far Rockaway, NY and Ida Brown of Astoria, NY; one brother-in-law, Clarence Brown (Emmie) of Summerville, SC; seven sisters-in-law, Daisy Locke (Elliott) of Columbia, SC, Rosa Brown of Reevesville, SC, Lettie and Dianne Brown of Landover, MD, Barbara Brown of the Bronx of NY, Margie Brown of Reevesville, SC and Audrey Brown of Sumpter, SC; nine grandchildren; Lakeshia Brown, William A, Berry, Candace Berry, Gino Brown, Shamell Brown, Christopher Brown, Anthony Walker, Waylon Walker, Jr. and Imani Brown; nine great-grandchildren, Taylor, Desmond, Gia, Ahmir, Ethan, Skylar, Caizer, Treyshawn and Shamell;  stepson, Reginald Jenkins of NJ, and an honorary daughter, Chiquetta Bryant of Summerville, SC, and an honorary sister Bernadine Ward Pinkney.  In addition, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
