Eddie Lee (Legend) Thomas, 63 departed this life February 2, 2016 at Summerville Medical Center, Summerville, SC after a brief illness.

He was born on March 18, 1952 in Dorchester, SC to the late John B (J.B.) Thomas and Lucinda Summers Thomas.

At an early age Eddie joined St. John United Methodist Church, where he attended Sunday School and loved participating in the programs for the Children.

Eddie graduated from Jenkins Hill High School and attended Wilberforce University, Wilberforce, Ohio.

Eddie (Legend) or Bubba as he was affectionately called by his family, had a deep love for the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. He had no fear for outdoors or the elements of the outdoors.

He worked many different occupations overtime, but became a knowledgeable master diesel mechanic helping many in the local area with heavy equipment repairs.

Those left to cherish fond memories are five sons, David of Orangeburg, SC, Deshawn and Delvin of Dorchester, SC, Darrius of California and John Benjamin of Ohio; two grandchildren, Jason and Ayana Thomas; one sister, Mary (John) Brown of Dorchester, SC; one aunt, Mrs. Marion Summers of Brooklyn, New York; one nephew, Semaj Brown; one great nephew, Little Semaj; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
