Eddie Jenkins was born on May 8, 1934 in Orangeburg County to Paul Funchess Jenkins and Flossie (Syphrett) Jenkins.

Eddie accepted Christ at an early age.  He wore many hats when it came to employment.  Along the way he developed a love for antiques.  Many of his items were showcased in movies, restaurants, stores and homes keeping history alive.  In 1989 he was chosen for the position of Deacon at Miracle Temple in Moncks Corner, SC were Bishop Donald Kensey was the pastor.

Deacon Jenkins was filled with the joy of spreading God's greatness.  He would invite and bring people to church from different walks of life on a regular basis.  Bishop Kensey noticed his love and compassion for souls so he allowed him to use his van to transport people.  He was fortunate enough to live a long life and see the precious ones he witnessed to grow.

Eddie departed this life on Friday, October 9, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother; five sisters, Lula Jenkins, Grace Davis (Charles), Dorothy Britt (Noel), Berdell Washington (David), and Gloria Lemon (Houston); two brothers, Tobie Jenkins (Rosanell) and Melvin Jenkins.  Surviving siblings:  Pauline Riley, Deloris Bruce, Nora Harrison and Betty Bolton.

He was married to Amanda Mack and shared forty-six years together.

To this union was born two daughters, Tanyetta Jenkins (Vince) of Titusville, FL and Tanesia Jenkins of St. George, SC; Christopher Mack of St. George, SC was raised in the home; grandchildren, Joseph Eddie Jenkins, Treasure Amanda Jenkins, Mauel of the home; Karriem Sumpter, Breia Britt, Jamari Jenkins; one great grandson, Amir Karriem Sumpter.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, children, grands, great grands, and great, great grands; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
