Eartha Lee Simmons Edwards was born to the late Pressy Simmons and Pansy Wolfe Simmons. She was raised and educated in Dorchester County. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She was married to the late McKinley Edwards. This union was blessed with five children; two preceded her in death – Gerome Edwards and McKinley Edwards, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: three devoted daughters, Deborah Brothers and Windetter (Donald) Brown both of St. George, SC and Eliza Edwards of Newnan, GA; one sister, Clara (Thomas) Rogers, Summerville, SC; one brother, Johnny Lee Simmons, New York; four sisters-in-law, Emma Lee (Gerome) Johnson and Essie Mae (David) Baxter both of St. George, SC, Elouise Mack, Jamica, NY and Carletha Palmer, Titusville, FL; one uncle, John Breaker, St. George, SC; two aunts, Martha Carn and Estell Simmons both of Reevesville, SC; a devoted friend, Nealie Mae Jones, St. George, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
