Dorvell Anthony Carter was born on April 25, 1960 to the late Rose Marie Carter in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised by the late Eugene and Bessie Gadson in St. George, South Carolina. Dorvell attended St. George high school and he also studied at Benedict College where he joined his brothers of WINE PSI PHI Fraternity.
Dorvell was outgoing, had a sense of humor that was out of this world, and a smile that would light up the room. He loved his family and friends dearly. Everyday he would send daily positive affirmations to everyone. Dorvell served in the United States Army, worked for the United Parcel Service, and The New York City Department of Health and Hospitals Corporation as a hospital police officer.
Dorvell Anthony Carter leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Kim Gallman; his children Tori Riley (Rodney Riley), Dorvell J. Carter (Naykara Carter), Brianne Carter; his grandchildren JaNyah Stokes, Demetria Riley, Shanetria Riley, and Dorvell J. Carter Jr. (D3); his siblings Paula Carter, Joanne Carter, Lisa Johns (Marvin Johns), Kevin Carter, Terrence Carter, Brenda Davis (Douglas Davis), Jerome Binard, and the late Nancy Wooding; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
