Mrs. Dorothy Seals departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Seals was born April 4, 1931 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. Mrs. Seals was the daughter of the late Mr. Ozzie Summers and Maggie Rosa Summers.

She attended the public schools in Orangeburg County and Dorchester County. She received her high school diploma from Harleyville- Ridgeville High School in 1975. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthews Baptist Church in Reevesville, SC. She served faithfully on the Senior Usher Board, the Kitchen Committee and the Pastor's Aid Board.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Harold Seals.

She leaves to cherish her many memories: eight daughters, Angie V. Martino and Carolyn Summers both of St. George, SC, Evon Seals ( Billy) Stafford of the home, Albertha S. (Charles) Jones and Marilyn Seals both of North Charleston, SC, Dorothy (Craig) Williams of Ladson, SC, Alice (Duran) Hooks of Atlanta, GA and Brenda (Louis) Gordon of Dorchester, SC; five sons, Allen (Rose) Summers of Orlando, FL, Harold (Sharon) Seals of Atlanta, GA, John Henry Seals of St. George, SC, Eugene Seals and Roosevelt Seals both of Dorchester, SC; James (Loraine) Green of Gaston, SC, Philip (Melissa) Sharper of Augusta, GA and Marvin Sharper of Goose Creek, SC; one sister, Catherine Summers of St. George, SC; forty grandchildren; fifty eight great grand children; eleven great great grand children; special friends Jennifer West and Doris Ayers; God daughters, Jessica Ruth Kelly Clayton, Thresa Delee and Jeanette Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you goes to Stella (Missy) Moore, Nikki Scott, Trisha Kelly, Richard Dean Fogle, Debra Rigby and Amedisy's Hospice Home Health Care.
