Ms. Dorothy Carson, the youngest of three daughters, was born to the late O.D. and Diecy Green Carson on November 7, 1952, in Branchville, SC. On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, God dispatched His Angel of Mercy to bring her home for eternal rest after a brief illness.
"Dot", as she was affectionately called, attended Lockett High School. Having to leave before graduating, she continued her education and received her high school diploma through Adult Ed.
At an early age, "Dot" joined Jericho Baptist Church, Reevesville, SC, and later became a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, Reevesville, SC where she served as an usher.
Her areas of professions were many, but her love of driving the precious cargo of Orangeburg Consolidated School District 4 was the highlight of her career.
She was a member of the Lady Ruth Chapter No. 4 OES, Reevesville, SC.
"Dot" loved her family and found pleasure in assisting her cousin Naomi in the planning of their "Family and Friends" gatherings.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Effie Ruth Dewitt and Annie Mae Fox.
She leaves to cherish loving memories her devoted daughter, Anita (Cardell) Dixon of Kernersville, NC; her son, Courage Fox of Orangeburg, SC; four grandchildren, Dorian Britt of San Francisco, CA, Antonio Britt and Porchia (Kevin Simmons) Britt of Kernersville, NC and Jessica Brown of Greensboro, NC; great-grands, Tamara, Jonathan, Madison, Mason, Riley, Jamar, Joshia, and Jakerria; her nieces and nephews who were like her children, Johnny Dewitt, Matthew (Tonya) Dewitt, Kenny (Sheryl) Fox, and Sharon Fox; two aunts, Mrs. Frances Mason of Branchville, SC and Mrs. Onell Green of St. George, SC; her adopted daughter, Nicole Dunning of Orangeburg, SC; her adopted big sister Sarah West Miller of Branchville, SC; a special friend, Jerry Walker of St. George, SC; grand-nephews and a host of, cousins, and friends.
