Dora Britt Bolden age 80, the daughter of the late Dora Britt and Minus Britt who preceded her in death.  Dora entered eternal rest on December 31, 2024 at her home in St. George, South Carolina.

Dora was born March 7, 1944 in St. George, South Carolina.  Dora attended school in Dorchester County and graduated from Willimas Memorial High School.  Dora later moved to Brooklyn, New York and united in holy matrimony to the late Abraham Bolden who preceded her in death.

She earned her certificate for cosmetology from Wilford Beauty Academy in New York.  She was employed as a security guard, where she retired after a number of years of service.  After retirement, she moved back to St. George, South Carolina where she was a dedicated member of Bethel AME Church.  Dora served on the Missionary, Senior Choir, Senior Ministry (secretary), and Stewardess Board# 3.  Dora also assisted with the food bank and the summer feeding program for kids.

Dora will be lovingly missed by her children:  Vincent Britt (Florinda) of St. George, SC, Sharon Ridgel, Darren Ridgel, Bobby Ridgel (Alexandria) all of New York and Tennille Bolden of St. George, SC.

With such a big heart and love for children, she did not stop there, the Lord continued to bless her with Keisha Britt, James Britt, Tyrike Britt and the late Shawanta Britt all of St. George, SC; two sisters, Dorothy (Leroy) Hodges, the late Ollie Mae (Leroy) Simmons; four brothers, Willie C. (Judy) Britt, the late Leroy (Acer Lee) Britt, James Britt all of South Carolina and Oscar Britt (Elouise); 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
