Demetrius Lamar Void, was born April 18, 1989 to Ms. Sallie Deneed Void and the late Mr. Samuel Pelzer. He entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2009 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Demetrius was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman, SC and served on the Usher Board and several other organizations. He was a 2007 graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg, SC.

Demetrius was a fun, loving, well mannered and much respected young man. He touched many lives in his short life. He has earned many awards.

Void and Marcus Shuler both of Orangeburg, SC; his grandfather, Deacon Townsend Pelzer of Bowman, SC; adopted parents, Mr. & Mrs. Otis (Teresa) Boyd of Rowesville, SC; adopted brother, Mr. Dondre' (Beverly) Boyd of Norwalk, CT; adopted sister, Mrs. Otisha (Jackie) Robinson of Cayce, SC; adopted grandmother, Clemmie D.
