Obituary

Demetrius Lamar Void, was born April 18, 1989 to Ms. Sallie Deneed Void and the late Mr. Samuel Pelzer. He entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2009 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Demetrius was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman, SC and served on the Usher Board and several other organizations. He was a 2007 graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg, SC.

Demetrius was a fun, loving, well mannered and much respected young man. He touched many lives in his short life. He has earned many awards.

Survivors include his mother, Ms. Sallie Deneen Void of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers, Tacobi A. Void and Marcus Shuler both of Orangeburg, SC; his grandfather, Deacon Townsend Pelzer of Bowman, SC; adopted parents, Mr. & Mrs. Otis (Teresa) Boyd of Rowesville, SC; adopted brother, Mr. Dondre' (Beverly) Boyd of Norwalk, CT; adopted sister, Mrs. Otisha (Jackie) Robinson of Cayce, SC; adopted grandmother, Clemmie D. Boyd of Rowesville, SC; a special grand aunt, Mrs. Roseanne Void of Bowman, SC; special aunts and uncles; Mr. & Mrs. Bobby (Louvenia) Void, Mr. & Mrs. Earl (Velma) Void and Mr. Carlton Void all of New York; Mr. & Mrs. Wendell (Shari) Void of VA; Mr. Michael Void of Bowman, SC, Rev. & Mrs. Keith (Wanda) Void of St. George, SC; Mrs. Kathy (Patrick) Patterson, Ms. Judy Aiken of Orangeburg, Ms. Sandra Ray of Greenville, SC and Ms. Valerie Jennings of Washington, DC; grand aunts, Ms. Elease Gaines of MD, Mrs. Annie Mae Hill of Bowman, SC, Ms. Rose Williams of NC, Ms. Betty Williams of VA, and Ms. Clara Mae Boyd of Orangeburg, SC; Godmother, Ms. Laura Fogle of Orangeburg, SC; Godfather, Mr. Evander Johnson, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC; one granduncle, Mr. Paul (Catherine) Brown of Washington, DC; a special friend, Spec.
