Delores Harris White was born February 7 ^th , 1956 as the 7 ^th child of 11 children born to the late Doretha Davis.  Her father was the late Eugene Harris.  She was born in Brooklyn, New York where she attended public schools.  She also attended school in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from William Penn High School in the summer of 1973.  She earned a license in hairdressing and cosmetology from Wilfred Academy Hair and Beauty Culture in 1978.  She achieved her CDL and drove school bus for Charleston County School District for many years.  Delores was also a licensed CNA who took care of everybody.  She had many occupations, skills, talents, and hobbies such as cooking and growing plants.  Most of all she loved her family.  She desired for all of her family to be involved in church.

Delores was born and raised knowing the power of the Lord.  She grew up attending The House of God churches in New York City, Brooklyn, NY and Philadelphia.  She later moved to South Carolina where she attended The House of God Ridgeville and Liberty Hill.  Upon moving back to Philadelphia, she started her membership at Shiloh Temple C.O.G.I.C. under Eld. Henry Meadows.  She was an active member on the usher board, Helping Hands & many other committees.  While there she married Steven White on July 4 ^th , 2003.  During her later years they made a final move back to South Carolina in 2018 where she became a member of the House of God Harleyville.

Delores will always be known for her big heart.  Anyone who has ever met her, loves her.  She would feed you, comfort you, clothe you, fuss at you, and most of all love on you.  "Mommy" or "Nana" is what she was known as by most and "Big Dee, Aunt Dee, and Cousin Delores" by many.  She was outspoken and the life of the party.  Delores had a way of making everyone she came in contact with feel special.  She and her husband Steve's door was always open and had gatherings often and everyone was invited.  Delores took care of people no matter who you were, and the taste of her cooking would leave a lasting impression to anyone who ate it.

Delores was preceded in death by Roslyn Pringle (daughter), Beatrice "Bea" Hobbs (sister), James" Benny Boy" Davis (brother), Carol Davis (sister), Christopher "Tre" Whetsell (grandson) and Dee C. White (brother-in-law).

She is survived by her husband: Steven White; children, Tammy Pringle, Harry Pringle (Cornelia), Nikaija Anderson-Stuckey (Nicholas), Krystle Whetsell, and Christopher Whetsell; 10 step children; grandchildren, Jasmine, Jawan, Brandon, Shania, Londa, Jarrell, Keona, Jazier, Jaziah, Artie, Yrrah, Jada, Shante, Nicholas "Lil Nick", Tre'niyah, Jernee, and Javeaha; siblings, Thomas "Tommy" Daivs, Ruby White, Gloria Davis, Alvin Harris, Eugenia "Jeanie" Harris, Patricia Norton, Eld. Eugene (Stefanie) Davis, Mary Taylor, Juanita English, Frankie White (sister-in-law), Eld. Glenda Heard (sister-in-law), Tyrone C. White (brother-in-law), Inez Lucas (aunt), Henry L. Cook (uncle), Albertha "Puddin" Cook (aunt) and Douglas Cook (uncle); godchildren, Ronald Jackson, Asia Jackson, Kelley Taylor, Derrell Morris; special friends, Robin Bligen and Tina Gilbert along with a host of bonus daughters, sons, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
