Deborah Green Jamison, departed this life on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 12:40 pm at Trident Medical Center. She was born on October 18, 1959 to the late Charles and Leola Green, and was the step daughter of the late Mary Ruth Green. Two brothers preceded her in death, Charles D. Green and Sunny Brown.
Deborah was educated in Dorchester County and was a graduate of the class of 1977. She was a faithful member of Bethel #2 Word Outreach Ministries in Reevesville, SC, where she served in many ministries which included, Board of Trustees, Women Ministry Treasurer, Ushers Ministries, Adult Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor's Aide and Sunday School Secretary.
Deborah worked at Fairmont and Ambler's sewing room for over 15 years. From there she worked as a Home Health Care worker and for St. George Nursing Home and Colleton County Board of Disabilities until her health declined.
Deborah was joined in Holy Matrimony at an early age to the love her life, Romie (Archie) Jamison, Jr. To this beautiful union two kids were born, one preceded her in death. However, God blessed them with three more children.
Deborah leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving husband of 40 years, Romie Jamison, Jr. of the home; two daughters, Kemea (Rommie Reeves) Jamison of Reevesville, SC and Shawada Rainey of Charleston, SC; two sons, Deon Rainey of Reevesville, SC, and Timothy Rainey of Ridgeville, SC; seven grandchildren, Keambricia (Ralphael Coger) Jamison, Garvis R. Peppers, and Kizmi J. Rushing all of Reevesville, SC, Jeffrey Nickelson, James L. Carter Jr., Jhamaria L. Carter, and Ayden L. Carter all of Charleston SC; one great grandchild, Tiianna M. Coger of Reevesville, SC; four sisters, Lillian Green of Phil., PA, Betty (Marion) Frazier, and Celestine Green both of Reevesville, SC, and Polly Thompson of Manhattan, NY; five brothers, Bennie L. Green of Orangeburg, SC, Aaron Clay Green of Reevesville, SC, Willie (Kathy) Green of Summerville, SC, Herman (Cassandra) Green of Harleyville, SC, and Ezekiel Brown of New York; her mother-in-law, Rosanell Jamison of Reevesville, SC; three brothers- in- law, Keith (Cynthia) Jamison, Clearance (Brenda) Jamison both of Reevesville, SC, Shontell (Laseandra) Jamison of St. George, SC; two aunts, Onell Green of Reevesville, SC and Francis Mason of Branchville, SC; one uncle in law, Joseph (Gertrude) Jenkins of Reevesville, SC; four very special friends, Janice Hollman, Teresha Waring, Wilber Bellinger, and Wanda Warren; a host of very special nieces and nephews, other friends and family that she loved dearly.
