The lord is my rock and I know he got me. Those were the last words our mother said to us clearly before her illness.

Deborah Elmore transitioned on Friday May 15, 2020. Most people don't associate the lost of a love one as happiness or sorrow, but more of a pain that is unexplainable and mostly unattainable. But when you have a RELATIONSHIP with God and a heart of gold, most of the life you spend above is worth more than gold. On Wednesday there was a small tear on her face from the happiness she felt as her daughters sent her a teddy bear that she held tight and a bloom of flowers of her favorite colors … the hues of blue. To Deborah blue didn't mean sadness but calmness and serenity.

She was born to Dorothy Mae and Peter Hill Jr. and raised by Willie James and Mary Lee Hill right here in Reeseville SC. After finishing school she became a Home Health Care Provider for life. Employed by various nursing homes, she decided to become a private health care provider, where she care and nurtured everyone.

She was a lifetime member of Bethel A.M.E. in St. George, SC as a member of Usher board until her illness.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the deceased Calvin Elmore for over 35 years and they were blessed with two daughters that they leave to cherish memories of a life time; Mary Louise Syrena Hill-Wolfe and Carolyn Elmore; one granddaughter, Fayth HarMonie De'Vonyae Elmore; one grandson, David Jahbari Wolfe III; one son-in-law, David Wolfe II; adopted daughter and close bond with Samantha Brown.

Deborah is a reflection of unconditional love and nurturing, gentle, strong, and kind spirit.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Patricia Hill of Reevesville, SC, that cared for her first hand, Valerie Britt of Orangeburg, SC and brother-in-law, John Britt, Pricilla Hill-Taylor of Holly Hill, SC and brother-in-law, Richard Taylor; one brother, Timothy Hill of St. George, SC; two sisters preceded  her, Peggy Sue Hill and Dorothy Lee Elmore; nieces and nephews, April Elmore, Rodney Branch, Sharda Ray, Franklin Elmore, LaToteyona Ali Britt, David Rolack, Scott Rolack, Lateka Taylor and Kelton Taylor; a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
