Debbie V. Lary-Middleton, 62, answered the Lord’s call on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Summerville Medical Center. She was born on June 29, 1964 in St. George, South Carolina to Henry D. Lary, Sr. and the late Jeanette Smith Lary. Debbie received her education in Dorchester County School District Four, and was a proud 1982 graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School.
At an early age, Debbie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior, and became a member of St. Daniel United Methodist Church. Throughout her illness, her faith remained an important part of her life. Debbie enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and spending time with her family.
Debbie was joined in holy matrimony to Larry Middleton on September 29, 1990, and to this union, their beloved daughter, Lashanna Middleton was born.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Smith Lary, her sister, Sandra E. Lary, and her brothers, Donald S. Lary and Henry D. Lary, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her beloved daughter, Lashanna Middleton; devoted father, Henry D. Lary, Sr.; five grandchildren, Tre’sean, Treasure, Tresmon, Jr., Kaiden and Aniyah; one sister, Joyce (Alonzo) Alston; two brothers, Ronald (Marilyn) Lary and Rogers (Corinthia) Lary; sister-inlaw, Rosemary Lary (the late Donald S. Lary); three nephews, Jamal Alston, Stephonn (Chelsea) Robinson and DeAndre Lary; three nieces, Salena Lary, Deandra (Courtland) Fraser and Sherelle Goodwine; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Debbie’s memory will forever live in all of our hearts.
