David "Dave" Lewis was born December 24, 1933 to the late Mack and Rena Lewis in St. George, SC.  He departed this life on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Charleston.

At an early age, Dave joined the Bethel Baptist Church.  He served faithfully as an usher and member of the trustee board.

Dave loved and cherished his family and friends.

He received his education in the public schools of Dorchester County.  He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.  He was employed for many years at Dupont/Westinghouse in Aiken, SC.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his sister, Pauline Bryant of St. George, SC; nieces, Connie Coaxum of St. George, SC, Carrie Lewis of Boston, MA, Armie (Willie) Mikell of Summerville, SC and Laura Brothers of Hyde Park, MA; nephew, Frank Chandler of St. George, SC; sisters by heart, Bernell Murray of Mt. Holly, NJ and Idella Williams of St. George, SC; friend, Addie Britt of St. George, SC; a host of other relatives and friends.
