Mr. David Johnson departed this life on June 30, 2018 at Life Care Center of Charleston, SC.  He was born on September 7, 1960, son of the late David Johnson and Mariah Johnson.

DJ, as he was known by his family and friends, attended Williams Memorial High School.  He was well known for fixing cars.  He worked for Mr. Fralix Body Shop, Sojourner Mechanic Shop and Legrande Fender.  He also did yard work for people in the community.

DJ was preceded in death by his siblings, Patsy Johnson, Tony Johnson and Ricky Johnson.

DJ leaves to cherish his fond memories:  eight children, Artinia (Antonio) Hopkins, Natasha Goodwin, Mahagony Martino, Ashley Pelzer, Brad Martino, Carlos Martino, Wyteria Linder and Rayshaw Johnson; three sisters, Denise Tang, Ellen (Jimmy) Delee and one half sister, Angie Edwards; three aunts, Shirley Johnson, Louis Washington and Arthur Bell Johnson; twenty grandchildren; one great grand; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends; Buck Riley and Tammy Ellis.
