Mr. David "Sirdot" Breaker, son of the late Tommie Breaker and Cludie Mayzk and stepfather, the late James Mayzk, was taken home by a heavenly angel on October 24, 2009, at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg, SC, after a brief illness. David was reared by the late Hobet and Gertrude Breaker.
At an early age, David became a member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He attended the public schools of Dorchester County.
David was preceded in death by his wife — Willie Mae Breaker; three sisters — Julia Riley, Barbara Breaker and Veronica B. Drayton; and a special friend — Berdell Washington.
David leaves to cherish fond memories: one daughter, Dave Ann (Vernon) Delee, of Orangeburg, SC; two sons, John D. Breaker and Tony (Debbie) Breaker both of St. George, SC; two brothers, Benjamin (Evola) Riley of Harleyville, SC; James (Tilda) Williams of Pennsylvania; father-in-law, Daniel Boyd, Sr. of Harleyville, SC; one brother-in-law, Daniel Boyd, Jr of Harleyville, SC; three sisters-in-law, Diane Barton of Grover, SC, Helen Brown of Harleyville, SC and Hattie Elmore of St. George, SC; five step-children that he reared as his own, Delphine Rathers, Sammie Jenkins, Tommie Washington, Mervin Washington and Norris Martin; 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a close friend, Leon Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
