Cynthia "Brighteyes" Simmons of Killeen, TX, peacefully entered eternal rest on the 18th of July, 2025. Born on December 5, 1959 in Dorchester County. Cynthia was a beacon of joy, compassion, and light to all who knew her.

She was affectionately known as "Brighteyes" because her presence lit up every room, and her beautiful spirit was felt by everyone she encountered. Cynthia had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and cared for—her warmth was unmatched.

Cynthia was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her children deeply and cherished her grandchildren with a love that overflowed. Family meant everything to her, and she showed that through both her words and actions.

Throughout her life, Cynthia faced many battles with unwavering strength and grace. She was a woman of resilience and faith, always leaning on God even in the toughest seasons. Her testimony of survival, love, and perseverance touched many hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Evelyn Syphrett. Her brother, Jeremiah Reeves and sister, Vivian Green.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving children: Nathaniel Reeves, Tonya Reeves, and Sofía Williams; Her adoring grandchildren: Dai-Quasi Reeves, Jakeem Duncan, Sai-Quann Brown, Nastasia Reeves, Malachi Reeves, Malaysia Reeves, Jewels Reeves, Asante Lozano, and Treyson Reeves; Her beloved siblings: Bertha Reeves, Ruth Walker, and David Syphrett; She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, dear friends, and her devoted classmates from the Class of 1978.

To know her was to love her. Her laughter, hugs, vibrant personality, and giving heart will be missed
beyond words but never forgotten.
