Cynthia Loretta Cobbs was the eldest of three children born to the late Samuel Christie and Thelma Moorer Christie. She entered this life on March 2, 1950, in St. George, South Carolina, bringing joy and laughter into the world from the very beginning.

Cynthia graduated from Williams Memorial High School and spent several years working as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly. She later attended Rutledge College, where she trained as a nursing assistant and embarked upon a caring and compassionate career in home health care.

Cynthia became a member of Trinity United Methodist Church at an early age. Following her union in marriage to her devoted husband, Malachi Cobbs Jr., she joined St. Matthews Baptist Church, where she was known for praising the Lord through song, prayer, and worship. Although her life's journey took unexpected turns, her love for the Lord remained in her heart.

Cynthia lived a full life and treasured spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed music, dancing, reading, journaling, and watching her favorite game shows and crime shows. She especially loved spending time with the family pet, Kardi B.

Cynthia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love for her family and friends.

Cynthia now joins in eternal rest her parents, Samuel Christie and Thelma Moorer Christie; her sister, Peggy Christie Lemon; her brother, Spencer DeQuincey Christie; and her grandson, Raekwon VaShone Nixon.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband, Malachi Cobbs Jr.; her daughter, Mary "Portia" Cobbs Haynes; her granddaughter, SharDea Naquan Haynes; her great-grandchild, King Joe'l Terry; and a host of loving family members and dear friends.
