Obituary

Curtis Lewis Thomas, Jr. was born November 22, 1950 to Lether Britt Thomas and the late Curtis Thomas, Sr. in Brooklyn, New York.

Curtis (Tommy Tucker) was summoned by God's Angels on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in St. George, South Carolina.

Tommy was given this name by his mother, Lether Thomas as a young boy and later his friends started calling him Tucker.  They joined the two names together, and that's how he became known as Tommy Tucker, and this is the name that everyone knew him as.

Tommy joined the St. Mark Baptist Church in 2009.

Tommy began his employment with ConEdison in 1969 and he retired in 2001 after 32 years of service.  A year after retirement Tommy and his wife Gloria decided to move to Richmond, Virginia.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his loving wife of 51 years, Gloria Thomas; four sons, Anthony C. Thomas, Elliott Thomas, Dwayne Thomas and Jermaine Thomas; his only daughter, Aleitha Thomas; his mother Letha Thomas; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Thomas; eleven grands; four great grands; six aunts, Nellie Rose Primus, Susie Queen Britt, Frances Folds, Bernetha Britt, Rose Britt and Mary Britt; six uncles, Reverend General Britt, Deacon Paul Britt, Earnest Britt, Bennie Britt, Max Folds and Ordie Brown; five sisters-in-law, Lillie Mae Trotman, Lillie Ruth Thomas, Patricia Thomas, Joyce Thomas and Janice Curtis; four brothers-in-law, Bernett Lemon, Malik Thomas, Ralph Thomas and Yusef Ali; you can't forget his precious dog, Thumper; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
