Brother Curtis Breaker Addison, Jr. was born February 24, 1941 in St. George, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Curtis Addison, Sr. and Estelle Breaker Summers, but was reared by the late Reverend Nathaniel Summers. Brother Addison transitioned peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Trident Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Brother Addison spent his early years in the St. George area, where he attended the public schools of Dorchester County. He became a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church at an early age, where he served faithfully for many years. The United Methodist Men, Adult Choir and Trustee of the Shady Grove Campground Board of Trustees were a few capacities in which he served. He held several jobs in his lifetime, but was a longtime employee of Dorchester County Public Works, from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing, yard work (trimming his hedges), driving his truck to town several times a day and cooking. He loved to dress nicely and took pride in his appearance.

Brother Addison was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Georgia Mae Carson Addison. Their union was blessed with seven children. One son, Curt Lee Addison, preceded him in death. His mother, fathers, Master Stanair Hodges (grandson), three sisters, Mary Ann Drain, Clarine Addison Barton and Francis Addison, and one brother, Daniel Jerome Addison preceded him in death.

On August 12, 2009, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jeanie Biggs Addison.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories to: his dedicated wife of the home; four daughters, Ruth Carson, Esther Addison, Brenda Addison and Betty (Stanley) Hodges, all of St. George, SC; three sons, Michael Addison of Orangeburg, SC, Mitchell Addison of St. George, SC and Brantley "Tim"  (Marcia) Baines of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister, Shirley Addison (Atlee) Prince of Savannah, GA; three sisters-in-law, Lauren Frazier and Maggie (Louis) Carn of St. George, SC and Kista Addison of Folkston, GA; three brothers-in-law, Sam Drain of Bowman, SC, Richard (Eartha) Carson of St. George, SC and Rosco (Zola) Baines of Durham, NC; twelve grandchildren, Lanesha, Latasha, Sylvester, Bonasia, Tavist, NaJohn, Adam, Robert, Keith, Marvis and Ebony Bryant; twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
