Mrs. Corine Britt Brown the daughter of the late Louis and Susie Britt was born March 20, 1932 in the Texas Community of St. George, South Carolina.
At an early age Corine joined St. Mark Baptist Church in the Texas Community. After marriage she became a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in St. George, SC where she served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher and Chairperson of the Stewardess Board until her illness.
She was an active member of Christian Love Chapter # 11 Order of the Eastern Star for many years.
Corine touched many lives through her culinary and baking experiences. Many can attest to this.
Corine was united in Holy Matrimony to Ordie C. Brown on November 28, 1953 and was happily married for 57 years.
Corine was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Henderson, Jessie Mae Young, Bertha Britt and Emma Lee Dixon and two brothers, Charles Henry Britt and Louis (Sonny) Britt.
Corine leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Ordie Brown; her daughter, Ordrine (Michael) Jordan; her son, Benjamin (Alison) Brown; her loving grandsons, Zachary E. Brown (Zach) and Michael Jordan (Little Mike); her sisters, Leather Thomas, Vernese Primus, Francis Folds, Susie Queen Britt and Nellie Rose Primus; her brothers, Ernest Britt, Bennie Britt and Paul Britt; her sisters-in-law, Dessie Mae Evans, Bernetha Britt, Ruth Britt, Esther Dash, Pearline Glass and Elena Brown; her brothers-in-law, Reverend General Britt, Jr., Max Folds and John K. Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
