Clayton Lewis aka BooBoo was born on August 19, 1961 to the late John D. Lewis and the late Rose Lewis.  He was called Home by His Heavenly Father on August 29, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. after an extended illness.

He was married to Elizabeth A. Lewis.  They had one son, Eugene McOwens.

Clayton was a member of Bethel AME Church in St. George, South Carolina.

Clayton attended Bowman High School.  He worked numerous jobs throughout his life.  His favorite of them all was when he was cooking.  Boo Boo loved to cook any and everything.  He was like a woman in the kitchen.  He could even bake cakes.

His hobbies included fishing, cooking out and talking trash to people.  If you knew Boo Boo, you would know he was a sweet person.

Clayton was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth A. Lewis of the home; his son, Eugene McOwens of the home; one brother, John Lewis of Bowman, SC; three granddaughters, Shaiya Gibbs, Sage Gibbs and Tamiya Willis; granddad, Henry Lewis of Bowman, SC and Flossie Lewis; three aunts, Eva Johnson, Dorothy Felder both of Bowman, SC and Georgia Gilmore; two uncles, Bennie Johnson and Hollis Lewis both of Bowman, SC; mother-in-law, Delores Shuler of St. George, SC; two sisters-in-law, Jerilyn (Joe)  Utsey and Sharon Keith of Dominican Republic; brother, Kenneth Kitt of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
