Mr. Clarence Riley was born July 23, 1963 in St. George, South Carolina to the late loving parents; Frank Riley, Sr. and Nancy Segar Riley.   Our dear CR was called home in-peace on June 16, 2021 at The Trident Medical in North Charleston, SC after a short and brief illness.

He attended the public school system of St. George, SC and during his high school years, he worked at Williams Memorial School.  Afterwards, he was employed by Western Sizzlin Steakhouse, Inc. then Joe's Modern Upholstery and later onto Govan's Used Cars all located St. George, SC for many years.

During his lifetime, he was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in St. George, SC.  He loved communicating sometimes by joking and always cared for his family, friends and neighbors in a loveable fashion.  CR was regarded in a manner of just being himself.  He enjoyed billiard (pool), in which he was a champion at, playing cards, dancing and doing great deeds for the community and surrounding areas.  As a team member of the Callaway Raiders (second baseman) home field in the Hudsontowm Community of St. George, SC, he was always one you could count on and consider himself the best of the Raiders. When it came to sports, he loved the then Oakland Raiders now Las Vegas Raiders (NFL) and San Antonio Spurs (NBA) after all silver and black were his favorite colors.

Clarence was preceded in death by father, mother, and his siblings –Frank Jr., James David, Nancy, Rosetta, Louis, Herman and Deborah.

Despite many health problems with countless visits to local hospitals to seek medical attention and care, he never gave up the fight or will to live and be happy.  In fact, there wasn't a day that went by without CR being full of spirit to rise to the top and enjoy life.

He leaves to cherish fond memories:  his loving sisters; Daisy (Charlie) Deacon Green, Jr. and Louise (Johnnie B. Kelly) both of St. George, SC; three brothers, Joseph "Phean" (Josephine) Riley of Statesboro, GA, Samuel "Buck" D. Riley, and Kelvin M. Riley all of St. George, SC; Daniel "Leggs" Haynes, brother-in-law, of St. George, SC;  aunts, Catherine Rolack and Alma Boyd both of St. George, SC; uncles, Jimmy Segar and David (Philippine) Segar both of St. George, SC and Freddie Lee Moorer of Reevesville, SC;  he also leaves to cherish fond memories a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Friends and partners were Alvin Govan, Andre Brice, Marcus Elmore, Rodney Murray, Theodore Barnwell and Rev. Kendrick Williams all of St. George, SC.
