Mr. Clarence Johnson, son of the late John Henry and Clarine Johnson.  He was summoned home by God's angels on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Trident Regional Hospital.

Clarence was affectionately known as "Ironman" or "Gator" by his family and friends.

Clarence found God and became a deacon at Christ Temple Deliverance Church under Apostle Henry Moore and Pastor Moore. There he worked as a faithful deacon.  He later became a member of the Church of Christ Apostolic where he continued to serve as a deacon.

Clarence had many passions.  He loved to go fishing, grow vegetables and sing.

Clarence operated heavy equipment for 40 plus years.  He fell in love, and made a career out of it.  Some roads and building pads Clarence built were  Dorchester Road Parking lot, Tanger Outlet and Interstate 95 just to name a few.  Clarence took pride in his work, he always said it was his God given gift.

Clarence was joined in holy matrimony to Barbara DeLee.  This union was blessed with four beautiful children, Monroe, Derek, Darrell and Breanna Johnson, all whom he loved and cherished dearly.

Clarence was preceded in death by four brothers, and one sister, Jeremiah Haynes, Henry Johnson, Jr., James Johnson, Roy Johnson, and Margaret Johnson.

Clarence leaves to cherish precious memories, three sons, Clarence Monroe Johnson, Derek Tyrone Johnson both of Dorchester, SC, Darrell (Javette) Alexander Johnson of Summerville, SC; daughter, Breanna Simone Johnson of the home; seven grandchildren, Londyn Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Jr., Aubrey Kennerly, Aaliyah Johnson, Demari Johnson, Jalayah Gilmore, and Javod Gilmore; one aunt, Purstine Haynes-Cherry; five siblings, Clara Johnson and Catherine Johnson-Butler both of St. George, SC, Samuel Johnson of Dorchester, SC, Jeffery (Keisha) Johnson and Jerome (Lisa) Johnson both of Charleston, SC; two in-laws, Deloris (Al) Williams and Elroy (Dorothea) Darby both of Florence, SC; one special friend, Brenda Hodges; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
