Christopher Jerome Lawton, the son of the late Jerry and Julia Lawton was born January 19, 1957 in Dorchester County.  He was summoned by God's Heavenly Angels on January 24, 2019 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC.

Christopher attended the public schools in Harleyville, SC.  He worked random jobs before going on to own his own business.  He was joined in holy matrimony with the late Barbara Ann Lawton of St. George, SC.

Christopher was preceded in death by five siblings.

He leaves to cherish many memories:  three sons, Christopher Young, and Willie Brothers both of Summerville, SC and Jerry Lawton of St. George, SC; two daughters, Cokeithia Burch of North Charleston, SC and Kawi Young of Glennville, GA; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Eula Lee Mack and  Joann Summers (Bennie Simmons) both of  Harleyville, SC and Barbara Lawton of Charleston, SC; three brothers, Nathaniel Lawton of Sumter, SC, George Lawton (Joanne) of Eutawville, SC and Johnny Lawton of North Charleston, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; a special friend of many years Rosanne Glover.

Christopher was loved by all he came in contact with.  He will forever be missed and his memory will always remain in our hearts.
