Christopher J. Simmons, known as "CJ" to some and as Chris to others, was born March 8, 1985 in Dorchester, South Carolina to Joseph J. Simmons and the late Barbara Felder Simmons. At the young age of 32, on June 19, 2017 Chris was called by our Lord and Savior to come on home and take his eternal rest.
As a young child, Chris loved following his dad around and he always wanted to learn all he could about automotive and heavy equipment. Chris attended school in Harleyville, SC; and received a diploma from Will Lou Grey Academy, located in Columbia, SC.
Chris had a smile that could light up the world and he was friendly with everyone he met and always enjoyed laughter. He joined St. Mark United Methodist Church at an early age and was taught to be obedient and to love the Lord.
Chris was employed by various construction jobs working with heavy equipment which was always his dream job. Chris last known employment was with the Seaport Docks, unloading ships.
