On April 29, 1953 an angel was born to Captain David Washington and Elizabeth DeVore. This angel, named Cheryl Maureen DeVore, brought joy to everyone around her until she was called home May 2, 2011.
Being the only left handed girl and being born with a "veil" over her face, Cheryl was always special and gifted. While raising two children on her own, Cheryl still maintained honorable status. She obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Gerontology.
Words cannot begin to describe the many facets that are "Cheryl". She could find the joke in any sad situation, yet always had the perfect words of encouragement. Cheryl was extremely intelligent and gorgeous yet humble and easy going at the same time. To know her was to love her. Cheryl Mareen DeVore will forever be missed.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
Her memories will be cherished by her children, Toya Austin, Trey Howard and Zaleen Nicole Riles; her grandchildren, Justin Devir Howard, DeMichael Whaley, Shaleia Hall, Quavaire Riles and Jamika Howard; her siblings, Janice DeVore Daniels, Maurice Captain DeVore, William DeVore, Patricia Brown, Albertha DeVore and Ronald DeVore as well as all of her friends and colleagues.
