Charles Darnell Amaker, 39 son of Almeanter Amaker (Randy) Gavin and the late Willie W. Johnson was born September 21, 1975 in Charleston, SC. On Saturday, November 29, 2014 he entered into eternal rest at Trident Hospital Charleston, SC.

He grew up in the St. George, Harleyville, and Holly Hill area. He was a great mechanic (self-employed). His father Willie Johnson, grandparents, Ida and Palmer Johnson preceded him in death.

Those who will always cherish wonderful memories include: his parents, Almeanter and Randy Gavin; one sister, Merylin Neals; three brothers, Freddie Johnson, Randy (Pamela) Johnson and Rodney Johnson; grandparents, Mary and David Walters; aunts, Eva Lou Johnson of Bowman, SC, Joyce Mack of Summerville, SC, Reverend Dorothy Bowman and Alice Johnson both of St. George, SC, Nealy (Jake) Newton and Mary Amaker both of Harleyville, SC, Londa Walters and Mary Sue (Nathaniel) Ravenell both of Holly Hill, SC; uncles, Edward (Odella) Johnson of St. George, SC, David Lee (Michelle) Walters, Louis (Christine) Walters, Jerome (Linda) Gavin and Harry Lee (Lorraine) Walters all of Holly Hill, SC; three great aunts, Josephine Gavin, Dora Lee Cummings, Dorothy Middleton and Mary Lee James; great, great aunt, Minnie Lee Breaker; great uncle, Augustus Johnson; three nephews, Dayquan Johnson, Xavier Neals and Rodney Johnson; nine nieces, T'asia Addison, Salvasia Gathers, Xzaria Neals, Jada Johnson, Kimiya Gavin, Kaniyah Gavin, Justice Johnson, Jalaya Johnson, and Alexus Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.
