Obituary

On July 15, 2024, the Lord came by and picked another beautiful rose for his garden.    Cecelia Amanda Smalls was born January 27, 1984 in Charleston, South Carolina to Gloria Smalls and Willis Funchess.

Cecelia accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of St. Daniel United Methodist Church. She served on the youth choir and the usher board. She was educated in the public school system of Dorchester County and graduated from Woodland High School. She attended Claflin University. She furthered her education at Allen University where she graduated with a degree in Biology in 2010.

She was employed at various jobs upon her death.

Cecelia who was affectionately called "Celia" loved the Lord and her family and friends. She loved scrolling on Facebook and watching her reality tv shows. She loved shopping. She especially loved getting in her car and driving to new places to try new things.

Cecelia was proceeded in death by her grandmother and grandfather Pearlie Mae and James Smalls.

She leaves to cherish beautiful memories: her loving mother Gloria Smalls of Harleyville, South Carolina, her father Willis (Peggy) Funchess of Denmark, South Carolina, four sisters Shonesha (Sherwin) Sykes, Latohya (Lee) Kelley, Jaylun Robinson all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Shalana Funchess of Lumberton, Mississippi, two brothers Terrance (Karla) Funchess of Indian Head, Maryland and Derrick Robinson of Denmark, South Carolina, three aunts Vanessa Smalls of Harleyville, South Carolina, Joann (Sunny) Hayes and Mable Peeples of Denmark, South Carolina, three uncles Jeffrey Smalls of Harleyville, South Carolina, and Fred Funchess of Denmark, South Carolina, Daniel Funchess of Chicago, Illinois, two great aunts Margie Johnson of Harleyville, South Carolina and Nora Bell Anderson of Roosevelt, New York, a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other special family and friends.
