Ms. Catheryn Egeria Toomer Rolack was born on July 2, 1935 in Dorchester County (Saint George, SC) to the late Annis Lemon Dubois (Johnny) and Walter Toomer, and raised by her loving grandparents, the late Katy Daniels-Lemon-Riley and Willie "Bouie" Riley. Catheryn graduated from Williams Memorial High School class of 1953, where she excelled academically and participated on the girls' basketball team. At a young age, she joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church.

Catheryn met and married her high school sweetheart, Mr. Sylvester Rolack (Burr) on September 5, 1953 and to this union five sons were born. Catheryn was a hard-working woman who spoke her mind whether you liked it or not, but if she could help you, she would. Catheryn loved life, her family, music, and fishing. She was all about nature and what God put on earth to eat, and she did just that. In her yard, you would find chickens, trees bearing fruits, and her garden with plenty of vegetables. Catheryn worked many years at ITT Conoflow, winning a national award late into her career, and she retired in 2004. Catheryn and Sylvester owned the First Black owned Rolack's Gas Station (Amoco) in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Catheryn also opened a learning center for the community where children could enjoy reading or learn how to.

Catheryn was a big supporter of her sons' achievements and would often share them with whomever would listen. With Edgus Rolack joining the Army National Guard and working with her as a youth at ITT Conoflow, Robert Lee Rolack becoming a police officer in Saint George, cheering on Charles Rolack in the stands as he played football for Saint George High and Newberry College, Russell Rolack who worked so many years beside his mother at ITT Conoflow, and the youngest, Sylvester "Sy" Rolack II with his many achievements in robotics and teaching students at Woodland High School.

Catheryn was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; her husband of 58 years, Sylvester; her sons Edgus and Robert Lee; her granddaughter Tasheeka; and daughter-in-law Patricia Willis Rolack.

Catheryn leaves fond memories to be cherished by a legacy from her sons: Charles (Beverly) Mariyah Synn Rolack, Eon Hatter, and James Hatter, grandchildren and their families: Lashone (Frank) Cobbs, Antonio, Arkestia, Octavius, Keyshawn, Breauna, Ashton, Tyler, Nicholas, Tyonna, Alaina, Allajah (and Baby Boy Green), Desiree Rolack (Nia,Ty'Ree, Samya, and Ava), Cornivius Rolack (Destiny and Deron), Egeria Rolack (Tia, Tamera, and Savon), Thomas Rolack (Ranyah), Sheila Rolack (Jamaari, Neveah, Ariel, Alicia), Femále Rolack (Ty'Quan, Ty'Quiauna, Krystal, and Rachelle), Tyrone Rolack, Russell (Savanna), Noah and Neveah; Jerrell Rolack. Nieces: Betty Rolack, Tilwanda R. Lawton, Eddie Sue Hankins, and Linda Anderson. Catheryn also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Devoted Friends, Frazier Family, Eartha Pinckney, Esther Bryant, Barbara Smith, and Harriett Elmore.
