Obituary

Caroline Henderson was called home to be with her Lord on January 23, 2024. She passed away peacefully at Colleton Medical Center at the age of 63. Her smile and loud voice would fill up any room.

Caroline Henderson was born in Saint George, SC on December 14, 1960, to Hiawatha (Jack) and Julia Mae Henderson who both preceded her in death. She grew up in Reevesville, SC, Dorange Community surrounded by her family and church family. She attended the Dorchester County Public School System from primary school through high school. She was a member of the Saint George High School graduating class of 1979, culminating her education at Benedict College. In her early life, Mount Pisgah Baptist Church became her church home and the foundation for her walk with the lord.

Caroline Henderson was well known for being very outspoken, cooking delicious meals, telling riddled jokes, having a heart of gold, and always being the life of the party. There was never a dull moment if she was around and if she gave you a nickname that meant she loved you. She enjoyed being around her family and friends and was favorably known as Flo or Ms. Fifty.

Caroline Henderson had one sister, Leatha Mae Thompson and two brothers, Chester Henderson and Horace Henderson who preceded her in death.

Caroline Henderson is survived by many who loved and adored her. She left three beautiful children to cherish her fond memories. Paris Henderson of Sumter, SC; Camisha McBride of Moncks Corner, SC; Abren Govan of Hanahan, SC, and a son in law Aundrieas Johnson of Moncks Corner, SC that she loved and cherished as her own. She also leaves her brother Paul (Brenda) Henderson of Jersey City, NJ. She became a grandmother for the first time to Bryshere Brooks who was born on December 8, 2023. She leaves her only surviving Aunt Henrietta West of Branchville, SC whom she loved and cherished dearly.
