Bruce Lemon was born to the late Josh and Frances Holmes Lemon on February 10,1965 in Dorchester County in the state of South Carolina. On Friday January 14, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas he was called into eternal rest.

The early years of Bruce life he joined and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.L. Ulmer. He was employed at the Highway Department in the maintenance department in St. George SC. After leaving the highway department Bruce became employed with Exxon Chemicals in Summerville, SC. In 2008 Bruce moved to San Antonio Texas. There he remained until January 14, 2022.

Bruce had a son Joshua Jermaine Kelly and a niece Selita LaQwennetta Shauvonta "Netta" Hopkins to precede him in death.

To cherish his memories, he leaves his children one son Darrell Marqui Kelly Lemon, of St. George, SC; one daughter Chelsea Victoria Lemon of Dorchester, SC; two grandsons JA'Rell Jeremiah Kelly Lemon and Jayshon Mycal Kelly of St. George, SC; one sister Clay Frances (Richard) Thompson, Jr. of St. George, SC; one nephew Zachary Alan Emanuel Hopkins of Columbia, SC; two aunts Rosa Cummings Lemon and Margaret Dantzler Holmes, both of St. George SC; a host of cousins, family, and friends.
