Obituary

Mrs. Blanch Fishman Gant was born April 4, 1937 to the late Lottie Reeves Fishman and Willie Moorer.

Blanch joined Bethel # 1 Holiness Church at an early age and never left.

She attended the public schools of Dorchester County.  She received her GED and became a licensed CNA.  She was employed by Jolly Acres Nursing Home in Orangeburg, South Carolina for twenty-six years until she retired.

Blanch loved shiny clothes, hats , campmeeting and helping others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carrie Mae Goodwin, Virginia Stokes, Martha Fair Young, Alice Young, Sadie Rodney, Mamie Moorer (Pinky) Houser and brother, Jake Fishman.

Those left to cherish her fond memories are her daughters, Christine Gant Pelzer and Lizzie Gant Fair both of Reevesville, SC; the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Juanita Stevens of the home and caregiver, James Maurice Pelzer and Cyrus Elmore all of Reevesville, SC, Latoya N. Greene, Tanisha Smith of Summerville, SC and Veronica Bell of Colorado; the one whom she raised and loved dearly, E4 US Army Lawreece Jaquel Stevens, his son and great, great grandson, Jayceon Stevens of Orangeburg, SC; great grandchildren, Ariel C. Pelzer, Zyron Jenkins, Cyrus (Pooka) Elmore, Skylar Pelzer, Kayceon and Jayceon Govan (the twins) Zimier Smith Daquan Archield, Jr. and Jasmine Moultre; sister, Neomi Coger of Titusville, FL; brother, Joseph (Bubba) Fishmon of Titusville, FL; aunts, Lizzie of Titusville, FL, Elizabeth Sims and Francis Stevens both of St. George, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
