Betty Simmons Frazier was born on September 9, 1946 in the Saint Paul Community of dorchester, SC. She was the oldest child of the late Naldo Simmons and Alma Weiters Simmons.
Betty attended the public schools in Harleyville, South Carolina. She attended Methodist and Baptist Churches in Dorchester County. She later became a member of Cornerstone Ministries in Ridgeville, SC.
Through the years, she held multiple jobs before marrying Nathaniel Frazier, Jr. of Givhans, SC and assuming the role of homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She loved people and enjoyed having fun. She liked fishing, gardening, offering hospitality and socializing.
She will be fondly remembered by her husband, Nathaniel Frazier, Jr.; three daughters, Anne (Michael) Dames of Harrisburg, NC; Jennifer Simmons of Concord, NC, and Sharlean Frazier of the home; her mother, Alma W. Simmons of the home; one brother, Ricky Simmons of Columbia, SC; two brothers-in-law, Israel (Lucy) Frazier of Summerville, SC, Henry Lee Frazier of Givhans, SC; three sisters-in-law, Lillian (Michael Hampton of Givhans,Carolyn (William) Lewis of Ladson, SC, and Sharon Simmons of Augusta, GA: two grandchildren, Cpt. Rashad (Julie) Dames of Waynesville, Missouri and Nathan Lamonte Frazier of the home; one aunt, Essie Johnson of Dorchester, SC; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
