Bessie Mae Pryor was born on December 4, 1929, to Bessie and Cornelius Berry Sr. Affectionately known as "Aunt Bea," she lived a full and purposeful life, marked by faith, strength, and devoted love for her family, until her peaceful transition on April 5, 2026, at the age of 96.

Aunt Bea was known for her kind spirit, gentle wisdom, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. She carried herself with grace through every season of life and was a source of encouragement and stability to those around her. Her life was a testament to resilience and devotion.

Aunt Bea was a tireless worker, faithfully serving both in her church and throughout her community. She found great joy in caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Whether through her words of wisdom, her nurturing presence, or her steadfast faith, she left an enduring mark on all who knew her. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Pryor; and her siblings, Howard Berry, James Berry, and Cornelius Berry Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children: Carolyn Calloway, Michael Pryor, and Marcus Pryor; three cherished grandchildren: LaVar Calloway, Kamari Pryor, and Justice Pryor; her loving siblings: Hazel Quzack, Cornell Berry, Evola Riley, and Samuel Berry; along with a host of nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Aunt Bea's legacy lives on through her family, whose lives she touched deeply and profoundly. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was—a woman of dignity, compassion, and enduring faith.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains in the hearts of those who loved her. Her life reminds us to cherish each moment, love deeply, and walk faithfully.
