Bessie Bell Mack Booker, daughter of the late Roscoe and Curlyno Mack, was born on December 19, 1945, in Gum Branch, SC. Bessie entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Heartland Hospice House, Conyers, Georgia.
Bessie attended the public schools of Dorchester County and later relocated to Bronx, NY where she continued her education.
Bessie was employed by Southern Bell and Verizon Telephone Companies. She retired in 2002 after 34 years of service.
She was joined in marriage in 1980 to the love of her life, Mr. Jessie Booker. This union was blessed with three beautiful children. In February 2007, the family moved to Conyers, Georgia.
Bessie leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted husband, Jessie Booker of Conyers, GA; one daughter, little Miss Alastajah Booker; two sons, Master Allen Booker and Master Alvin Booker all of Conyers, GA; two sisters, Rev. Rose M. Mack of St. George, SC and Elease (Melvin) Vanderhorst of Summerville, SC; one uncle, Thomas Summers of Summerville, SC; two aunts, Julia Brooks of New York, NY and Ella Mae Brothers of Dorchester, SC; three sisters-in-law, Anita of New York, NY, Brenda of Birmingham, AL and Carolyn Booker of Lithonia, GA; six brothers-in-law, Kenneth Booker and Julius Booker both of Lithonia, GA, Dwight Booker of Bronx, NY, Michael Booker of Birmingham, AL, Allen Bradley and Bob Jones both of St. George, SC; a very special niece, Rosalind Brown of Summerville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
