Mr. Benny Haynes was born September 23, 1951 to the late Horace and Marylee Haynes and Josephine McKnight in Columbia, SC. He departed this life on June 9, 2015 at Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC.

Benny graduated from Dorchester County School System in Dorchester, SC. At an early age he joined St. Mark Baptist Church in Pregnall, SC, where he was a member until his death. He retired from GM Inc. after many years of service in Albany, NY. After a disabling injury he retired, and after many years he returned home to Pregnall, SC.

Four sisters, Angeline Martino, Jonetta Warren, Deloris Zeigler and Blunder Burgess; two brothers, John Brothers and Melvin Haynes; one nephew, Woodrow A. Brothers all preceded him in death.

His passing will be mourned by son, Calvin Williams; daughter, Pamela Wallace; four sisters, Marylou (Eddie) Bryant of Greenville, SC, Dorothy (Leon) Salley of Lincolnville, SC, Frankie Treadwell and Andrea (Roy) Blakeney both of Summerville, SC ; three brothers, John H. Martino and Horace Haynes, Jr. both of Pregnall, SC and Kenneth (Dora) McKnight of Summerville, SC; devoted sister-in-law, Della Haynes; devoted nieces and nephews, Tyrone (Judy) Martino, Tommy Martino, Ronald (Donette) Zeigler, Cherry Newton, Lula (Tony) Wilson, Regina (Curtis) Gibbs, Konosha Zeigler, Daniel (Tamitra) Haynes, Melvin Haynes, Jr., Lawrence, Maryann, Darrell (Dawn) Bryant, Tabitha, LeShauna (Kevin) Barron, Kim, and Onea (Howard) Brown; a host of other relatives and friends.
