Mrs. Barbara Ann Lawton was born on March 26, 1952 to the late Matthew and Carolyn Frazier Duggins, in St. George, South Carolina. On Friday, September 23, 2016, at 12:55 a.m. Barbara was summoned in God's loving care unexpectedly. She was the 4th of 9 children, which 5 preceded her in death (Bobby, Calvin, Gloria, Virgil, and Dwight).

Barbara attended the public schools of St. George, SC. She was such an outgoing, cheerful, pleasant, energetic, accommodating, strong woman. She never met a stranger and no matter what always ended the conversation with "I love you" a trademark from her big brother Calvin.

Barbara leaves to carry her legacy of love and to cherish her precious memories; her husband, Christopher Lawton; five children, Aundre (Kelly) Duggins of Summerville, SC, Stacey (Ray) Smith of St. George, SC, Kimberley (Arthur) Grandberry of Orangeburg, SC, Dedra (Cranston) Jenkins of Dorchester, SC, and Jerry (Sierra) Jenkins of St. George, SC; three sisters, Peggy (Herbert) Seabrook, Debra (Johnny) Baxter, and Nikita Duggins all of St. George, SC; two uncles, Fred (Helen) Frazier of Brooklyn, NY and Harry (Danielle) Frazier of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Ruth McBride of St. George, SC; six sisters-in-law, Joanne (Benny) Summers, Barbara Lawton, Euura Lee (James) Mack, Libby Smith, Patricia Duggins, and Julia Mae Duggins all of St. George, SC; three brothers-in-law, Johnny Lawton, George (Joanne) Lawton, and Nathaniel Lawton all of South Carolina; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
