Mr. Anthony "Tony" Barker Murray entered this life August 26, 1951 in Dorchester, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Mr. Daniel W. & Viola Brown Murray.

Tony was a life time member of St. Paul AME Church.

Tony graduated from Boylan Haven Mather Academy in Camden, South Carolina in 1969. In 1976 Tony graduated from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina.

"Tony", as he was affectionately called, always had a positive effect on others when he greeted them with a smile.

Tony leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancé, Alvida Tucker; three daughters, Iris Murray, Crystal Bailey and Kamisha Morrison; one son, Anthony Wesley Murray; one sister, Virtell F. Shabazz; one brother, Daniel (Linda) Murray II; five aunts, Mable Brown McCants, Lennerd S. Mack, Nellie Carey, Mattie Brown and Bernice Brown; three nephews, Terance Murray, Webster Murray and Tyrone Faison; three nieces, Phyllis Pinckney, Gloria Goodwine and Imani Murray; two special friends, Norman Brown and Herman Heyward; his hang out crew and a host of other special relatives and friends.
