Annie Ruth Massard Daniel was born May 3, 1945 in Grover, SC to the late Annie Rell "Utsey" Massard and David "Money Box" Massard. She entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2019.

Ruth was employed at A&S Knitting Company in Brooklyn, NY until she retired. In June 1964, she married James Daniel and to this union they had seven children. Upon moving back to South Carolina, she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served faithfully as an assistant treasurer of the Missionary Ministry, a food bank helper and Chairperson of the kitchen committee until her health failed.

Ruth was best known by her family and closest friends as an excellent cook and could always be counted on to "tell it like it is." Her LAUGH will truly be missed. Her favorite hobby was working in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband James Daniel, her son, Demetrius Daniel and step-son Anthony Daniel; three siblings, Joseph and Arthur Massard and Reverend Dorothy "Diane" Moyd.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories to two daughters, Lisa Daniel of Queens, NY and Dawn-Marie Daniel of the home; three sons, Lamont Daniel and James Anthony Daniel both of Brooklyn, NY and Marcus Daniel of the home; two sisters, Janet Massard Johnson of Charlotte, NC and Janet "Muddah" Lemon of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren, Eric Daniel, Dhakkiyya Daniel, Kristopher Daniel, Dimitri Daniel, Breonna Smith, Kayvonna Daniel and Mariah Williams; three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
