Annie Cial Goodwin peacefully fell asleep in death at her home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, while in the company of her loving son and other loving family members. Cial, as she was known, was born on October 24, 1948, in Dorchester County, the youngest child born to the late Charles Goodwin and Annie Mae Mack Goodwin.

Cial attended the public schools in Dorchester County. At an early age, Cial, being reared in a Christian home, became a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Harleyville, SC. Cial served her church in various capacities and was always willing to help out wherever she was needed. She was extremely fond of being in charge of the kitchen.

Cial was married to the late Ardis Neals and this union was blessed with one surviving son, her baby, Frederick.

Cial was a very hard worker and was employed at various places over the years. Her last employment was at Ashley Lodge in Harleyville, SC, where she retired. Cial enjoyed cooking and being hospitable to all she met. She was a vi1tuous woman as the bible describes at Proverbs 31. Cial will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cial was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Willie Goodwin and one sister, Annie Lee Goodwin Gadson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one devoted son, Ardis Frederick Neals of the home; a devoted niece reared in the home like a sister, Lucy Mae Adams, New Jersey; a devoted nephew whom she helped her parents raised and she also referred to as her son, Charles Goodwin, Jr., St. George, SC; a devoted grandniece whom she helped to raise, Veronica C. Adams, Raleigh, NC; three loving and devoted sisters, Deaconess Alice G. Adams, Dora Bell G. Lary both of Harleyville, SC, and Jessie Mae G. (Mitchell) Barlett, Miami, FL; one loving aunt, Cora Dunlap, Mims, FL; her devoted niece and care giver, Beatrice Goodwin; her devoted neighbor and caregiver who was like a sister, Ida Daniels; a host of other loving nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and Elixzina Breadmon, who was as dear to her as a daughter. Cial said on many occasions as she referred to her family, "I Love all yall."
