Early Life

Albert Lee Mack was born August 6, 1952 to Neomia Smith.  He grew up surrounded by family, faith, and love-values that shaped the man he would become.

Education

Albert was a proud graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School Class of 1971.  During his high school years, he enjoyed performing in the  marching band, where he played the saxophone.  He also loved football, though band ultimately became his greatest passion during those school years.

Military Service

After graduating high school albert answered a higher calling and joined the United States Air Force. He served faithfully for 23 years, dedicating his life to honor, excellence, and service before self.

Albert worked as a Public Affairs Specialist, he used his voice and skills to document missions, write stories, and support the communication efforts that helped shape the Air Force Public Image. Albert took great pride in his role, always carrying himself with professionalism, integrity and dedication.

Albert will be remembered as a devoted service man, a loyal friend, and a man of strong character. His kindness, discipline, and unwavering commitment to service and touched the lives of many.

Albert Lee Mack dedicated many years of honorable service to The Lieber Department of Corrections in Ridgeville, SC where he began his career as a Correctional Officer. Through hard work, leadership, and commitment, he rose through the ranks and retired with the distinguished title of "Major" and he was also a 1st responder. His dedication to serving and protecting others left a lasting impact on his colleagues, community and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

MSGT. Albert Lee Mack peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Neomia Yather; his father, J.R.B. Dunning; his sister, Mary Francis Mack McCoy; his brothers, Virgil Lee Smith and Carlo Nianchi Dunning; and one nephew, Dewayne C. Smith.

Albert leaves cherish his loving memories: one daughter, Naomi Francis Mack Lloyd; three granddaughters, Maya Natalia Lloyd, Arabella Amari Lloyd and Amara Molly-Willow Lloyd; four sisters, Sallie (Ronnie) Johnson, Sandra Williams,  Betty Dunning and Donnie Davis; five brothers, Bruce (Queen) Smith, Allen Smith (Cheryl), Terry Dunnng (Earline), Mark Dunning (Patricia), and Clay Dunning; one aunt, Carolina Brown; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; a loving friend, Lallah Clark and a friend, Lois Stokes.
