Mr. Albert L. Burden the son of the late Albert Emanuel Burden and Willie Mae Burden and beloved step mother Wilma Burden was born March 8, 1942 in Harleyville, South Carolina.  He entered into eternal rest Monday, August 5, 2019.

Albert, affectionately known as "Peanut or Penda" grew up in Harleyville, SC, where he attended the local public school.  He worked for and later retired from Gifford Hill Cement Plant in Harleyville, SC.  Afterwards, he continued working at Dorchester County for a short period of time.  In his free time, Albert enjoyed racing at the Dorchester County Race Track and working on cars alongside his son Reginald Burden.  Albert was also a member of Elem Missionary Baptist Church which is located in Harleyville, SC.

Albert met and married Rosa Mae and God blessed them with children, step children, and grand children and great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rosa Mae Burden (Harleyville, SC), step-daughter, Ms. Vernette Howell (Newark, NJ), his in laws, Isaac Williams (Holly Hill, SC), Silas "Jimmy" Williams (Holly Hill, SC), Geneva Sweat (Holly Hill, SC) and Catherine Williams-Sweatman (Holly Hill, SC).

Albert L. Burden, the loving father and grandfather leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daughter and caregiver, Beverly Howell of Dorchester, SC; Elizabeth Burden of Holly Hill, SC, Natasha Davis of Georgia; two sons, Reginald Burden and Albert (Charlene) Burden both of Harleyville, SC; three step children, Harry Howell of Newark, NJ, Larry Howell of Florida and Anthony (Michelle) Williams of Holly Hill, SC; grandchildren, Shannah (Cookie) Burden, Devantae Johnson, Rita (Denvin) Howell Bradley, Sequoyan (Altron) Burden Williams, Sophia (Lymell) Burden Swinton, Jasmine Simmons, Jaylen Burden, Shannon Burden, Sierra Price, Lilla Price and Bailey N. Russell.  Albert was blessed to be able to love and hold his three great grandchildren, Altron Williams "AJ", Kylie Burden, and Shaniah Bradley.

Albert also leaves loving memories with his siblings: Gracie Mae Burden of Dorchester, SC, Priscilla (Anthony) Tyson of Waterbury, CT, Kimberly Burden of Waterbury, CT, Inger Burden White of Georgia, Reginald (Varn) Hutchins of New Haven, CT, Cedric (Telrina) Burden of Bridgeport, CT, Alex Burden of Waterbury, CT, and David (Kia) Burden of Hamden, CT; also his in laws, Penny Ann Williams of Holly Hill, SC, Rebecca (Abraham) Bookhart, Jesse Mae Green of Orangeburg, SC and Carolyn Heyward of Santee, SC; a close and dear friend to both Albert and Rose Mae Burden, Nancy Laribo, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
